Survey
A survey is a document made by a licensed surveyor that illustrates the property boundaries and measurements, and its relationship to surrounding tracts of land.
It also specifies the location of buildings on the property, and indicates any easements or encroachments.
A survey is required by the lender to assure that a building is actually sited on the land according to its legal description.
